 Situation in ATO area aggravates: pro-Russian terrorists violated cease-fire 104 times yesterday, - Staff

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area continues to aggravate. Pro-Russian terrorist gangs became more active both in the daylight and after dark.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as of 6 a.m. April 15, posted on Facebook.

According to the Staff, militants violated cease-fire 104 times yesterday, which is by 20 percent more than the day before.

"In the direction of villages of Zaitseve, Opytne, Butivka mine, Leninske, Stanytsia Luhanska, Novotroitske, and Avdiivka, invaders conducted fire from mortars of various caliber 21 times. In particular, defenders of industrial area were shelled 30 times from various weapons.

"In the direction of Novotroitske and Luhanske militants used IFV weapons, grenade launchers, machine guns of large caliber, and small arms. Near Ukrainian positions in Bohdanivka, an artillery strike from cannon artillery was conducted," the message reads.

It is also reported that near Dokuchaievsk, defenders of Novotroitske were fired at from mortars of 120-mm caliber, IFVs, and small arms: "Here, bandits were trying to check the vigilance of our soldiers and assaulted them. The enemy was stopped with fire and retreated."

"Over the period indicated, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were forced to open fire 16 times," the Staff added.
