 Shootout between Tornado fighters and law enforcers occurred in Boiarka, - 112 Ukraine

A shootout took place in Boiarka (the Kyiv region) between fighters of the disbanded Interior Ministry company "Tornado" and representatives of the military prosecutor's office.

Censor.NET informs quoting 112 Ukraine correspondent reporting live from the scene.

"Boiarka, 193/5 Shevchenka Str. It is here where Interior Ministry warehouses are located. There is a hostel on the territory of these warehouses, where some 20 fighters of the previously disbanded special purpose company "Tornado" have settled. Prosecution representatives arrived at the hostel to learn on what grounds Tornado fighters were staying there. It all ended with a verbal altercation which escalated into a gunfight," he said.

At the moment, according to the correspondent, the street is blocked by Spetsnaz, the shootout has subsided, and negotiations are underway.

"The National Police in Kyiv and the Kyiv region Chief Troian and commander of Myrotvorets battalion, which includes part of Tornado fighters, have arrived at the scene," the journalist noted.
