Russian secret services tried to fabricate Poroshenko's interview for The New York Times, - Tseholko

Presidential spokesman Sviatoslav Tseholko has reported that Russia's secret services tried to stage a fake interview with Poroshenko for The New York Times periodical.

Censor.NET informs quoting Tseholko's Facebook.

"Russia's secret services keep waging a hybrid war against Ukraine. With the help of a fake letter, they tried to arrange an interview with American newspaper The New York Times on behalf of the Ukrainian president.

"Using a fake letterhead, they gave phones and e-mail addresses of their agents and even held talks and voiced "answers" to offered questions on phone.

"To its credit, the newspaper checked the accuracy of entries with the real press service and the fake interview was not published," he wrote.
