 Militants used heavy weapons in every third attack yesterday, – Motuzianyk

Yesterday the situation along the frontline deteriorated again. It was reported about 91 militants’ attacks over the past 24 hours. Moreover, the terrorists fired from heavy weapons, such as mortars, tanks, and infantry fighting vehicles.

Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues Colonel Oleksandr Motuzianyk told 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.

Militants' snipers became more active in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area, he added.

The militants violated the truce twice in the Luhansk sector, near Shchastia and Triokhizbenka.

In the Donetsk sector, Avdiivka industrial area remains the hottest spot. There, militants uninterruptedly attack Ukrainian soldiers.

"The enemy concentrated significant forces in Yasynuvata, Mineralne and Yakovlivka, unsuccessfully trying to push the front line to the west. Militants' snipers were spotted in Zaitseve, where the OSCE SMM patrol was fired by the militants," Motuzianyk said.

The ATO forces' positions at the village of Luhanske (Svidlodarsk arch) were shelled with tank and infantry fighting vehicles.

"The situation remains unstable at the Donetsk airport. 54 militants' attacks were reported in the Donetsk sector," Motuzyanyk added.

The most militants' attacks in the Mariupol sector were reported in Marinka and Shyrokyne.
