 Dutch PM Rutte upset about referendum results, says Netherlands supports EU-Ukraine visa-free regime

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte on the initiative of the Dutch side.

Mark Rutte said he was upset about the results of the referendum which took place in the Netherlands on Wednesday, April 6.

The leaders discussed next steps for the entry into force of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

"This historic agreement fully meets the strategic interests of Ukraine and the European Union, including the Netherlands," Poroshenko stated.

The president stressed Ukraine's commitment to the fulfillment of the Association Agreement, including the implementation of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.

The Dutch PM reiterated the Netherlands' support of a visa-free regime for Ukrainians.
