Militants' activity was highest at the Donetsk direction. Near Avdiivka, they 13 times opened fire. The defenders of the industrial area on the outskirts of the town came under six mortar attacks as criminals used incendiary shells. The rest of attacks involved enemy infantry and snipers.
Violating the cease-fire, Russian terrorist groups employed heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, and small arms to hit our strong points in the vicinity of Opytne, Pisky, Maiorsk, Novhorodske, and Zaitseve. Moreover, enemy infantry fighting vehicles delivered aimed fire on Ukrainian defenders near Luhanske.
At the Mariupol direction, the enemy struck ATO forces' positions near Pavlopil, including with self-propelled artillery. Ukrainian army strongholds near Shyrokyne, Vodiane, Marinka, and Novotroitske were hit with weapons of different caliber.
Over the day, Ukrainian soldiers eight times opened fire in response, which ensured the retention of controlled areas and positions.
