The situation in the area of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) remains difficult though controlled by Ukrainian soldiers.

Censor.NET reports citing the ATO press center.

"Over the day, 23 attacks by the enemy have been recorded, with Avdiivka remaining the hottest spot at the front (nine attacks). At the Donetsk direction, the enemy employed heavy machine guns and small arms near Opytne, Vodiane, and Butivka Mine. Our positions in the vicinity of Luhanske and Nevelske came under large caliber mortar fire.

"At the Luhansk direction, Triokhizbenka and Luhanske were hit once with grenade launchers and small arms.

"Ukrainian troops had to retaliate three times. This practice of the last few days is the only way stop provocative fire delivered by terrorist," the evening reports reads.
