Russian Foreign Ministry does not allow Ukrainian and German doctors visit Savchenko, - lawyer

The defense of Ukrainian aviatrix Nadiia Savchenko, who has been illegally sentenced in Russia and announced dry hunger strike in the remand prison, states that doctors from Ukraine and Germany are not able to obtain permission for visiting her from the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation.

"Certainly, Ukrainian and German doctors are ready to visit Nadiia in the remand prison, but they are not able to obtain permission from the Foreign Ministry at first place," Savchenko's lawyer Mark Feygin said on Thursday, Censor.NET informs citing Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the defense, a request to be allowed to visit Savchenko in the 3rd remand prison of Novocherkassk was sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry via German Embassy as well as via Ukrainian consulate in the Rostov region.
