No more obstacles with visa-free regime for Ukrainians, - Foreign Ministry

Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Ministry believes that the European Commission will in the nearest future provide legal proposals for continuation of the process of cancellation of visa requirements for Ukrainian citizens.

This was announced by deputy foreign minister of Ukraine on European Integration issues Olena Zerkal in a commentary to Ukrinform, Censor.NET reports.

"We believe there are no obstacles left. We will meet today to discuss further steps to be conducted by the European Commission in terms of filing a legislative proposal. I hope it will appear in the nearest future," Zerkal said.

According to her, another current issue to be discussed is the timing for this legislative proposal and final decision on it.

"Of course, there are some negative trends among the EU countries that speak of the necessity of subsequent monitoring of the process, meaning after we receive the visa-free regime for travel," the deputy foreign minister said.
