 Russian terrorists committed 67 attacks on Ukrainian troops’ positions yesterday, - Staff

The militants continue firing at the Ukrainian servicemen in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area using weapons of various calibers. 67 assaults were recorded over the past day.

Censor.NET informs citing the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as of 6 a.m. April 7.

"It was tense at the Donetsk section of the front. The enemy repeatedly employed weapons of infantry fighting vehicles against our strong points near Luhanske. 11 strikes committed with mortars of various calibers hit positions near Avdiivka, while the positions in the vicinity of Nevelske, Novhorodske, Opytne, Zaitseve, and Butivka mine underwent one mortar strike each. The militants used small arms and sniper weapons to attack Ukrainian soldiers in Pisky and Svitlodarsk," the report reads.

According to the Staff, the greatest number of militants' attacks at the Mariupol section of the front was recorded near Marinka. The positions of the Ukrainian troops there underwent six assaults with grenade launchers, machine guns, anti-aircraft guns, and small arms. The areas near Shyrokyne and Krasnohorivka defended by the Ukrainian detachments came under the enemy mortar strikes.

"The militants used anti-aircraft guns and automatic grenade launchers to fire at our soldiers in the vicinity of Novozvanivka in the Luhansk region," the Staff reported.

It is also noted that the Ukrainian army opened retaliation fire on the illegal armed groups 10 times. The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue holding fast their ground.
