 Savchenko goes on dry hunger strike today, - lawyer

The Ukrainian aviatrix, illegally convicted and kept by the Kremlin, has announced going on dry hunger strike from April 6.

This was written by her lawyer Mark Feigin on Twitter, Censor.NET informs.

"Nadiia Savchenko has started dry hunger strike," he wrote Wednesday morning.

In Savchenko's own statement published yesterday by her lawyer, she said she did not recognize the sentence by the Russian court.

"In response to criminal acts of the Russian authorities against me and Ukraine, I announce termless dry hunger strike from April 6, 2016. I demand immediate return of myself to Ukraine! I prohibit transferring me anywhere except for Ukraine," Savchenko's announcement reads.
