Russian terrorists committed 76 attacks over past day, - Staff

The situation in the eastern Ukraine remains complicated and tends to deteriorate. The Russian-terrorist groups assaulted Ukrainian servicemen 76 times over the past day.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) Staff press center as of 6 a.m. April 6.

The Staff has recalled that the terrorists committed 61 attacks the day before yesterday, while 120-mm and 82-mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements were employed in 23 of them.

"The Donetsk section of the front line was the hardest for the ATO forces to hold positions at. The Ukrainian soldiers managed to hold out in spite of the massive strikes with heavy weaponry combined with attacks with grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms. Their accurate retaliation fire efficiently curbed the enemy aggression spoiling all its chances of success," the statement reads.
