Britain's The Guardian reports in the article "Ukraine's leader set up secret offshore firm as battle raged with Russia," Censor.NET informs.
Leaked documents from the Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca show that Poroshenko registered the company Prime Asset Partners Ltd in the British Virgin Islands on Aug. 21, 2014.
In addition, The Guardian names another offshore company owned by Poroshenko and his "close ally" Ihor Kononenko - Intraco Management Ltd: "The firm transferred hard currency to Kononenko's daughter Darya, and also maintained a private jet used by the president."
Its Cyprus-based agent Geoffery Magistrate is linked to Poroshenko, the medium notes.
Intraco Management Ltd, associated with Poroshenko and Kononenko, is said to have made purchases from Gazprom in October 2014.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian media, namely LigaBusinessInform, published information about Intraco Management Ltd being engaged in trading operations with Russia's Gazprom. In particular, in October 2014, the company bought 500 tons of aviation fuel from the Russian subsidiary of Gazprom - Gazpromneft-Aero Sheremetyevo.
