Petro Poroshenko conveyed words of support to Nadiia Savchenko and informed her on his recent efforts aimed at her release.
"Being on a visit to Japan, I keep the situation on Nadiia's liberation under control. Justice will finally prevail," the president noted.
In response, Nadiia Savchenko expressed gratitude to the president for the latest endeavors made for her to be freed as well as for the letter of president's wife Maryna Poroshenko to First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama.
According to the consul general, Nadiia Savchenko remains unbroken and believes in her return to Ukraine.
