This was announced on 112 TV Channel, Censor.NET reports.
"First hearing in the case of Artur Biriuk, suspected of murder of a soldier, has been held today. He was detained last night in Ternopil. The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested him for two months. His lawyers insisted on 24/7 house arrest, arguing that he cannot exert pressure on witnesses or other persons involved in the case. But the prosecutor's office recalled that the case involves several suspects besides Biriuk. One of them has already been detained, while the other is still wanted, and therefore Biriuk should remain in custody," the correspondent informs.
The brothers-in-arms of the killed soldier are conducting an alternative independent investigation, he said. According to them, another person involved in the case, who is on the wanted list, is now on the territory temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian government.
As it was reported earlier, the suspect in murder of discharged soldier Prykhodko was apprehended yesterday after a three-month chase.
Demobilized anti-terrorist operation (ATO) soldier Artem Prykhodko was killed during an armed conflict in Palmyra restaurant in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv.
