As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainski Novyny, this was announced by the Pechersk district court of Kyiv dated March 24.
The document reads that on Feb. 16 prosecutor Valerii Zymohliad has closed the criminal proceedings against Yefremov due to absence of the event of a crime in his activities, as stipulated by part 3 of article 161 of the Criminal Code (violation of the equality of citizens based on their race, ethnicity, i.e. incitement of ethnic hatred with grave consequences).
Due to this fact, former MP's lawyers addressed the court with a request to refund a 60,900 UAH ($2,300) bail, posted by Yefremov's wife.
The court paid attention that the proceeding was closed based on exonerating grounds and refunded the bail.
Prosecutor did not object to the bail refund.
