The report reads: "The militants of the illegal armed groups have fired at least a hundred rounds of various calibers at the village of Zaitseve this morning. One building was razed to the ground while some other were significantly damaged as a result of massive shelling committed from the village of Holmivske, southern part of Zaitseve, and Rumiantseve villages occupied by the militants. 152-mm and 122-mm artillery as well as 120-mm and 82-mm mortars were used. There are numerous fresh craters of one to one and a half meters in depth and 2-4 meters in diameter in the territory of almost every homestead in Zaitseve.
"These flagrant violations of the Minsk agreements, as well as directions where the artillery strikes were committed from, have been documented by the representatives of the Ukrainian side of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of cease-fire in the Donbas (JCCC). The evidence of the use of weapons, which the militants should have withdrawn to a certain distance long ago, will be handed over to representatives of the OSCE SMM according to established procedure.
"Despite the difficult situation in the vicinity of Zaitseve village, the Ukrainian side urged the Russian side to exert its traditional influence on militants in order to achieve complete cease-fire.
"The Ukrainian side of the JCCC has also put forward an initiative on possible ways to de-escalate the situation in the area.
"In particular, the OSCE SMM was proposed to monitor the situation daily by the efforts of the OSCE patrols from certain locations next to the JCCC observers, which would allow carrying out reliable control of the situation and respond to violations of the cease-fire.
"This initiative was put forward by the Ukrainian side of the JCCC back last week, but the Russian side failed to obtain the appropriate security guarantees for representatives of the OSCE SMM from militants."
