Censor.NET informs citing situation report by the ATO Staff press center.
The latest update reads: "The number of today's attacks on the Ukrainian soldiers' positions is almost the same as the day before - 37 assaults have been committed today. The enemy activity continues to grow despite this. The Pro-Russian mercenaries gradually increase intensity of attacks committing strikes with heavy weaponry...
"The defenders' of our positions in the Maiorsk and Zaitseve underwent massive enemy shelling this morning. The strikes with 152-mm and 122-mm artillery as well as 120-mm and 82-mm mortars lasted for two hours there. The total number of fired rounds was over 300. Numerous fresh craters of one to one and a half meters in depth and 2-4 meters in diameter found in the territory of local homesteads confirm that the illegal armed groups have employed large-caliber weapons against the local residents.
"Later, a considerable number of mortar strikes hit Vodiane and Talakivka. Besides the defensive lines of our forces in the industrial area of Avdiivka, the enemy targeted residential neighborhoods having destroyed houses and cars of civilians. Using such an inhumane approach, the enemy intends to increase the level of local residents' discontent and incur displeasure by the Ukrainian army.
"The ATO forces' scouts have also spotted four enemy's Giatsynt SP-guns with caliber of 152 mm deployed between Makiivka and Yasynuvata. The heavy weaponry is situated at operational sites of the illegal armed groups about eight kilometers away from the demarcation line, which is a significant violation of international agreements. The enemy is actively using heavy weaponry in order to commit strikes on military lines and local residents in the areas under its control."
