 Solution to political crisis in Ukraine to be found this week, - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, speaking at the forum "Ukraine's Battle for Freedom Continues" in the U.S. Congress, said he expected to see a way out of the country's political crisis until the end of current week.

A solution to political crisis is likely to be found this week, the head of Ukrainian state said, speaking to the audience.

Poroshenko expressed hope that this week the Verkhovna Rada will manage to resolve the crisis within the country. He said he insisted on clear principles of forming a new government and a coalition in the parliament.

The president expressed confidence that new government's program should be based on commitments to the IMF as part of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement, as well as address fighting corruption and implementing the Minsk agreements.

According to Poroshenko, the government crisis in Ukraine is yet another challenge the country faces, while it is also a chance. He stressed that the state had to get out of it and become more resilient to both internal and external shocks.
