 PGO finishes investigation into two Maidan cases, - prosecutor Horbatiuk

Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has finished investigation into two cases concerning the events of the Revolution of Dignity in Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv between December 2013 and February 2014.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by head of the special investigations department of the PGO Serhii Horbatiuk on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We have procedures coming to an end all the time. Two weeks ago we finished a procedure on Kyiv Berkut company commander [special forces - ed.] regarding their beating of Maidan protesters at Shchorsa Street and on giving false testimonies. At the moment, another investigation is finished, the one concerning a commander of Kharkiv Berkut; he is currently familiarizing with the case regarding beating up of a large number of protesters by his unit on Feb. 18 [2014 - ed.] in Mariinskyi park [in Kyiv - ed.].

"Another procedure, against a commander of Lviv Berkut, is currently reaching its end," he noted.
