The Russian terrorists committed three strikes on the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces’ positions near Avdiivka today between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. using 120-mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO Staff press center.

The statement reads: "The Ukrainian troops' positions near Avdiivka were attacked by the pro-Russian mercenaries nine times today between 6 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. 120-millimeter mortars were employed in three of these assaults.

"According to the local residents, the attacks on the Ukrainian servicemen, deployed in the industrial area of the city, in particular, are carried out by the militants from the village of Yakivlivka. The pro-Russian militants have deployed mortars of various calibers there. They carry out blatant and cynical strikes regularly taking advantage of the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not retaliate upon their attacks using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements. The militants have fired a total of 15 mortar shells over the mentioned period!"
