As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center in its report as of 6 a.m. March 28, posted on Facebook.
"The most difficult situation is near Avdiivka. The enemy was conducting fire upon our positions from 120-mm and 82-mm mortars 15 times. In addition, they used mortars, machine guns and small arms many times. Illegal armed gangs also attempted to assault an ATO strong point. Soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine opened fire, and a recon and sabotage group of the enemy retreated.
"In Donetsk direction, ATO forces were shelled near Butivka mine, Luhanske, Pisky, Opytne and Zaitseve," the message reads.
It is noted that other areas of the front line were unquiet as well.
"Near Novotroitske, bandits applied 120-mm mortars and antitank guided missile systems. At Mariupol direction, the enemy was aiming at defenders of Marinka, Shyrokyne, and Taramchuk from grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms."
"With the purpose of holding their positions, Ukrainian soldiers opened fire several times. In general, the situation remains difficult but controlled by the ATO forces," the press office sums up.
