 Drunken Russian passenger of Dubai - Kyiv flight claims bomb planted on board. PHOTOS

One of the passengers of the plane heading from Dubai to the Kyiv international airport claimed that an explosive device was planted on board. The information was later disproved by SBU.

Censor.NET informs citing Security Service of Ukraine Secretariat Head Oleksandr Tkachuk.

According to Tkachuk, the bomber was Russian citizen Vasily Mishchuk born in 1956. Tkachuk also noted that there were 149 people on board a plane. The plane landed as usual, after which the Russian announced that explosives were planted on board.

"Another Russian citizen Viktor Kucher, who was involved in the accident according to the SBU information, was also apprehended," Tkachuk said.

According to him, the operation to search and defuse the explosive device is underway. There is no threat to the passengers of the plane and visitors of the airport.

According to Kyiv international airport press service head Halyna Bohdanenko, the bomb report was obtained 10 minutes before the landing. She also said that the Russian, who claimed that the bomb was planted on board, was under the influence of alcohol.

The SBU press service later explained that the bomber was detained, the aircraft passengers were evacuated. The bomb-experts were checking the plane for explosives.

The Security Service later reported that no explosive devices were found on board the plane.
