 Savchenko brought to court: MPs and journalists encounter problems with access to courthouse

The verdict to Ukrainian pilot Nadiia Savchenko will continue to be passed in the Donetsk city court in the Rostov region of the Russian Federation today.

However, the Ukrainian diplomats, journalists and MPs have troubles with access to the courthouse. In particular, the first police cordon was denying access to Consul General of Ukraine Vitalii Moskalenko and Consul Oleksandr Honcharov for 10 minutes. The Ukrainian MPs and Petro Poroshenko's Spokesperson Sviatoslav Tseholko have also come to support the Ukrainian pilot. They were being denied access for some time as well.

The reporters have been standing in a queue from 7 a.m. to get into the courtroom. The police have let in about 10 members of the press over two and a half hours.
