 Terrorists shelled Ukrainian army's positions 27 times yesterday, - ATO press center

After relative lull and decrease in volume of shelling during the day, pro-Russian terrorists got more active in shelling the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) forces' positions after dawn and until midnight.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in its report as of 6 a.m. March 22, posted on Facebook.

The statement reads: "The Russian mercenaries shelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near Luhanske and Zenit stronghold in the vicinity of Avdiivka with 82-mm mortars in violation of the existing Minsk agreements. A total of four mortar rounds have been fired.

"The militants fired at the Ukrainian soldiers' strong points near Zaitseve, Maiorsk, and Avdiivka with high-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers, and attacked Marinka defenders with small arms," the report reads.

According to the Staff, the Ukrainian troops' positions near Maiorsk and Luhanske were attacked by militants' snipers.

"27 attacks on the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions were recorded totally yesterday, including 21 at the Donetsk section of the front and six at the Mariupol one. The assaults on the Ukrainian troops ceased after midnight," the ATO press center reported.
