 Sniper training - one of army priorities: National Guard drilled by high NATO standards, - Turchynov

National Guard sniper training center adheres to high NATO standards.

National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said, presenting new experimental domestically produced sniper rifles to National Guard fighters, Censor.NET reports citing NSDC press service.

On Friday, the NSDC secretary, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov, and National Guard Commander Yurii Allerov visited a new sniper training center of the National Guard of Ukraine.

"Sniper training is one of army priorities and the National Guard is drilled by high NATO standards. Our fighters' task is to neutralize terrorists and enemy snipers who, breaking the Minsk agreements, kill our military in the area of anti-terrorist operation (ATO)," NSDC secretary said.

Turchynov presented the first batch of experimental sniper rifles. "Today, we give these weapons not only to improve the training but also to test it both here and directly on the battlefield. All your comments and suggestions will be quickly addressed by engineers and manufacturers in order to improve the quality and reliability of the rifles," he stressed.
