 Russia must respect Savchenko's rights, - UN Secretary General

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon calls on Russia to respect the rights of Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadiia Savchenko, held in a detention center in Novocherkassk (the Rostov region, Russia).

Stéphane Dujarric, spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary General, said at a briefing, Censor.NET informs referring to tass.ru.

"The Secretary General urges the authorities to observe due process and fair trial rights of miss Savchenko," United Nations spokesperson said.

At the same moment, Dujarric said the Secretary General has been following the situation with Nadiia Savchenko.
