This was announced by Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko at the presentation of United Nations Development Programme project "Ukraine's Public Sector Transparency and Integrity", Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"I am convinced that in the near future, in the coming days, the National Anti-Corruption Agency will become operational, and as was the case with the Anti-Corruption Bureau, we'll see results from the first days of its work," the minister said.
At this, Petrenko said that the electronic income declaration system will be an effective tool of public control of officials.
"The selection commission, which is tasked to select two more members to the National Anti-Corruption Agency, will continue its meeting today, at 5 p.m., and we hope that all members of the commission will demonstrate their public stance and complete the selection process. As soon as we have a fully-formed Anti-Corruption Agency consisting of four persons, they can start working literally on the same day," the minister said.
At the same time, Petrenko said that the fifth member of the agency will be selected through another competition which should end in late March.
