 Terrorists committed 44 attacks yesterday, used large-calibre guns, grenade launchers, and ZU-23, - ATO press center

The situation in the area of anti-terrorist operation (ATO) is tense, although the number of attacks has decreased compared with the previous day.

Censor.NET informs citing ATO press center report as at 6 a.m., March 14.

As reported, 44 attacks on Ukrainian army positions were recorded, of them 38 at the Donetsk, five at the Mariupol, and one at the Luhansk directions.

"Our troops' positions along the demarcation were 20 times hit with mortars of different caliber, nine of them near Avdiivka where Russian mercenaries four times employed large-caliber artillery (122-mm), having fired 18 rounds.

"It was also unquiet in the Svitlodarsk salient where our soldiers' positions not far from Zaitseve came under 82- and 120-mm mortar fire, while strong points in the vicinity of Troitske and Maiorsk were hit with heavy machine guns and grenade launchers," the report notes.

As also reported, ATO forces strongholds near Novhorodske, Pisky, Opytne, and Nevelske were struck with various types of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms.

"At the Mariupol direction, militants employed grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, and small arms against our strong points near Starohnativka and Novotroitske, as well as ZU-23 near Marinka.

"Ukrainian troops' positions near Novotoshkivske in the Luhansk region came under 82-mm mortar fire," ATO press center reported.

As noted, from midnight, the enemy has significantly decreased the number of attacks - Ukrainian army positions near Marinka and Novotroitske were two times hit with various types of grenade launchers.
