Court adjourns hearing of Kalynovskyi’s case to March 14

The hearing of the case of Serhii Kalynovskyi, son of Dmytro Firtash’s ex wife, was adjourned to 1 p.m. March 14.

Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"The court adjournment has ended. The judges have spent 40 minutes in the deliberations room and now returned to the courtroom. They were discussing whether to postpone the hearing or hold it with the defendant via Skype as he failed to attend the trial. According to the lawyers, Kalynovskyi underwent surgery today that's why he failed to come and they insisted on adjournment of the hearing to the next day. Thus the judges made the decision to adjourn the court hearing to 1 p.m. March 14," the statement reads.

The court held that the hospital, where Serhii Kalynovskyi was treated, was to make necessary preparations for holding a videoconference. The trial was scheduled to be held on Monday via videoconference.

However, Kalynovskyi's lawyer said after the meeting that he would recommend his client to refuse from videoconference. The lawyer alleged that his client should be present in the courtroom rather than hold a videoconference from his hospital bed.
