Militants attacked gas pipeline repair crew in Marinka, - JCCC

On March 11, militants in non-government-controlled territory opened fire on workers engaged in repairs of the Marinka-Krasnohorivka gas pipeline.

Censor.NET reports referring to anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center quoting the Ukrainian side at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination.

Militants attacked the repair crew at about 10 a.m., using a heavy machine gun and a sniper rifle, and at noon, employing an RPG.

The repairmen were not injured but were forced to completely stop the planned work and hide in a trench, as their lives were in danger.

The Ukrainian representation to the JCCC points out that from the beginning of March, militants have committed 19 attacks on repair crews in the vicinity of Marinka, using small arms, heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, and sniper rifles.

"Such cynical provocations by "DPR" armed groups are intended to deliberately foil plans to restore gas supply to 27,000 people living in the area of Marinka and Krasnohorivka," the JCCC notes.

As noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces always observe the cease-fire when identical repairs of vital infrastructure facilities are underway in non-government-controlled territory.
