"The Parliamentary Assembly will prepare a separate resolution on Nadiia Savchenko with consequences for the Russian authorities. And, it seems that the Savchenko List, which resembles the Magnitsky List, is becoming increasingly real, as both PACE and the European Parliament has already voiced proposals to implement this list," Ariev said.
In addition, the MP said that there was still no reaction of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the situation with the release of Nadiia Savchenko.
Head of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to PACE also noted that MEPs were signing a petition for Savchenko's release, which was initiated by prominent people from various countries.
"We must do our best to release Savchenko. The European colleagues have supported me and promised to share the petition within the parliaments of their countries, as well as demand that their governments take all necessary steps to liberate Nadiia Savchenko. These steps will be scheduled in the near future," Volodymyr Ariev said.
