He said this in an interview with Turkish TRT World, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.
"The parliament should have a coalition which should have a majority. Three factions have quit the coalition. And, according to our Constitution, either a new coalition has to be formed with most probably a new prime minister, or we are faced with early parliamentary elections. My presidential position, and only the president may call early parliamentary elections, is - never!" Poroshenko said.
He stressed that the political forces inside the Rada should find a way out of this situation. "But this is parliament's responsibility, it should find a solution: either restore the old coalition, and I'll be happy to work with any prime minister, or create a new coalition and offer another prime minister. I can take any offer of the parliament," the head of state noted.
Poroshenko added he considered Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk to be a reformist. "I have fantastic personal relations with the prime minister. I think he is a reformist, I believe that he does an excellent job," Poroshenko said.
The president stressed his major priorities: keeping up reforms, fighting corruption, and improving the efficiency of the government. He also noted he expected positive news in this context in the near future.
