Savchenko's lawyer Nikolay Polozov wrote on Twitter, Censor.NET informs.
"The whole story with the fake letter looks tragicomic and clearly illustrates the work of secret services in the Russian Federation. But Putin has outplayed himself this time. And now it would be appropriate that President Poroshenko wrote an official letter to Nadiia Savchenko with words of support," he said.
"What can I say. The Kremlin is in deep water and actively working. The worldwide support of Nadiia Savchenko, sharp statements of Western politicians, all together combined with Nadiia's heroic resistance enrage the Russian government and personally Putin. An old KGB method was applied once again... The whole array of FSB cultivation tools was employed. However, neither Nadiia's lawyers nor her sister and mother, nor consuls and politicians could persuade her to stop the dry hunger strike. And Vladimir Vladimirovich ultimately succeeded..," Polozov wrote on Facebook.
"I can only support the sincere words of Nadiia Savchenko in her last letter which, unlike many other things, is genuine. Nadiia will live on in defiance of all mighty foes. And no matter how the KGB hydra is raging, Nadiia will be free, I believe in it," the lawyer concluded.
