Vira Savchenko said this to Censor.NET correspondent reporting from the scene.
At the current stage of investigation, it is the court hearing Nadiia Savchenko's case who grants permission for visits. However, judges are in a meeting room, where they are composing Nadiia's sentence, this is why they are not able to issue the official document.
Vira Savchenko specified that consuls were able to enter the prison with a permission they had been issued earlier. She expects to be able to see her sister together with their mother later today.
"There are alternate paths. In exceptional cases, a permission can be granted by penitentiary service. The prison director said he was waiting for his leadership orders," Vira Savchenko said.
