Poroshenko: Turkey to join Geneva plus talks on Crimea's de-occupation

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko supports the involvement of Turkey in the international negotiation process on Russia's de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula, including in the Geneva plus format (Ukraine, Russia, the U.S., and the EU).

Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"Together with the president of Turkey, we supported joint steps aimed at the de-occupation of Crimea. To this end, we plan to unite efforts in the framework of international organizations on the basis of new international formats, including the Geneva plus format with the participation of the guarantors of the Budapest Memorandum, Turkey, and Ukraine," Poroshenko said at a joint news conference with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on Wednesday after the talks between delegations of the two countries.
