 Savchenko threatened to go on total hunger strike: "You will pronounce verdict without me"

Ukrainian military, people's deputy of Ukraine (Batkivshchyna party) Nadiia Savchenko said she would go on hunger strike if the court schedules pronouncement of verdict in more than two weeks.

She said this during debates in the Donetsk city court of the Rostov region, Russia, Censor.NET's correspondent reports from the courtroom.

"I do not know how long this show will last. If the court takes more than two weeks for pronouncement of the verdict, I will announce total hunger strike tomorrow, and you will sentence me without me," Savchenko said.

She also informed that she was not going to wait for an exchange for she was not guilty.

"I am not a bargaining subject, I am innocent, my guilt has not been proven. I will not wait for exchanges, bargaining, or time delaying," Nadiia Savchenko said.

As reported earlier, Savchenko has been on a hunger strike since Dec. 17, 2015, but she has been administered vitamins and nutritional cocktails. Savchenko has been under doctors' supervision.
