 Yatseniuk on schemes with army nutrition: "Four companies have sucked on public procurement like leeches for 10 years"

Companies that supply food for the army are trying to disrupt a competitive tender for the supply of meals.

Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk said at a government meeting, Censor.NET reports.

"Four companies, which have provided these services for 10 years, sucked on public procurement like leeches, inflating prices and supplying low quality meals," Yatseniuk stressed.

According to him, these companies are trying to extend contracts concluded without a tender, amounting to approximately UAH 3.5 billion (approx. $128.184 million).

"It's a matter of the national security and reputation of the government," Yatseniuk said.

He also appealed to secret services and law enforcement to pay attention to this situation and bring the perpetrators to justice.
