"We are witnessing usual escalation before this important meeting. We have stopped counting the attacks committed today. However, we do know that there are dead and wounded. The night is ahead. We hope that this number will not increase," Lysenko said.
According to him, the intensification of the terrorists' subversive and reconnaissance activity is also observed. Lysenko said that the movement through the checkpoints on the demarcation line may be restricted in case of further escalation.
As previously reported, three servicemen received injuries during the anti-terrorist operation on Feb. 29.
It should be reminded that German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier expected decisive steps to be made for progress in the resolution of the conflict in the Donbas at a meeting of Normandy Four ministers in Paris on March 3.
