This was announced by Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn in Brussels on Monday during his address to the European Parliament deputies and Ukrainian MPs at the opening of the Ukraine week, Censor.NET reports citing DW.
He assured that the EC was committed to move on, and the matter now depends on the Verkhovna Rada deputies.
The European Commissioner stressed that the issue depended on whether Rada-adopted laws complied with earlier agreed criteria; in particular, Hahn mentioned that electronic declarations of Ukrainian officials' incomes were inconsistent with the agreed requirements of the legislation.
The EU Commissioner said there was a need of improvement in that matter, noting that the law on electronic declarations should cover MPs as well.
