Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Hroisman says that the majority of democratic forces in the parliament are ready to form a new coalition and the Cabinet of Ministers.
"There is a good deal of talk about the political crisis in Ukraine. I want to warn everybody: this crisis should not be exaggerated. I would like to inform that the vast majority of the democratic forces of the Ukrainian Parliament are ready to create a new coalition, new government, and boost implementation of all necessary reforms and European integration of our state," he said.
However, the speaker did not elaborate what parties were meant in particular.
"There is no need to exaggerate the impact of the current political crisis today, which we call the government one. Our joint consultation with the absolute majority of MPs shows that we are all inclined to seek effective solutions... So when they say that all is lost and we should immediately run in the re-election, I'm sure that the vast majority of those present in this hall can confirm the opposite. We've got plenty of new opportunities ahead for the country to become successful... I'm sure that we are able to find a compromise," he said.
Hroisman has also confirmed Ukraine's readiness to implement the recommendations to reform the Verkhovna Rada proposed by the Needs Assessment Mission of the European Parliament in its report, presented during the "Ukrainian Week" in Brussels.
