Activists protest peacefully as Ukraine is committed to ensure transit of Russian trucks

The protests against the transit of Russian trucks through the territory of Ukraine are peaceful.

According to the Operation Headquarters of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the protests take place in two points on the territory of Ukraine: Domanove checkpoint on the border with the Republic of Belarus in the Volyn region and on the ring road of the town of Stryi, the Lviv region, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

According to the report, the protests in both sites are peaceful and take place within the current legislation. They do not block the movement of vehicles, as this may be regarded a criminal offense. The information is confirmed by the reports of the National Police and the Security Service of Ukraine who visited the site.

"The Ministry of Infrastructure encourages those carriers who stopped their vehicles fearing the blockade to keep moving. This can be done by changing the route to detour the specified points or by ordering support of specialized vehicles of the National Police at the checkpoints on the state border. For this, it is necessary to apply to the customs or border guards who provide information and help order the support of the National Police of Ukraine.

"The position of the state remains unchanged: Ukraine continues to fulfill its obligations to ensure the unimpeded transit. The operational headquarters is in full control of the situation and is ready to provide explanations and support for the transit through the territory of Ukraine," the report reads.
