Former minister Bohatyriova has no assets abroad, no use in sanctions, - PGO

Sanctions against Yanukovych-era official, former NSDC Secretary and Healthcare Minister Raisa Bohatyriova make no sense, except for their political component.

This was announced by Head of the Main Investigation Department - Head of Special Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine Serhii Horbatiuk on air of 112 TV channel, Censor.NET informs.

"The European Commission representatives are avoiding any statements until this issue [sanctions extension - ed.] is discussed by the EC. They have made no final decision yet. It's difficult to say, this has to be decided by members of the European Commission. The decision should concern asset freezing, but no assets of Bohatyriova have been revealed abroad. That's why applying sanctions makes no sense, except for their political component," Horbatiuk said.
