Yatseniuk claims there is deliberate delay in confiscation of Yanukovych's assets

The forfeiture of $1.5 billion stolen by former president Viktor Yanukovych's regime is intentionally delayed.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, it was announced by Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk.

"The State Financial Monitoring Service seized $1.5 billion last year and there is no need to trace the money: it has been found and arrested in Oshchadbank. And there were repeated attempts to lift the arrest through various judicial decisions in order to steal the money back. About 80 offshore companies controlled by the former regime were involved in the scheme," he said.

"I have a well grounded impression that there is a deliberate delay in the confiscation of the money," the head of the government added.
