"People rallied in support of idea rather than a policeman," - Dekanoidze on Sunday rally in Kyiv

At an oath-taking ceremony attended by National Police officers in Vinnytsia, Khatia Dekanoidze, Ukraine's National Police chief, met with the public and thanked people for their support.

Censor.NET reports citing Interior Ministry press service.

"People rallied in support of idea rather than a policeman. My colleagues, who have worked in the system for many years, were amazed by a massive support of the patrol officer and said they hadn't seen anything of the kind during their entire service," Dekanoidze noted.

In addition, she was convinced that the future work of police units will be focused on maintaining and raising the confidence of the population. This should reassure the citizens of the success of all further reforms.
