"I am against early parliamentary elections," - Poroshenko

President Petro Poroshenko opposes the idea of early elections to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

He said this to journalists in Vinnytsia, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"There is no need to sprinkle ashes upon the head and make steps that will lead to chaos and disintegration of the state. I clearly stressed it in my address: I am against early parliamentary elections," he said.

"People have done their utmost. They've demonstrated their will, and voted, and selected those who formed the pro-European forces in the parliament. This fact is clearly confirmed by voting for the visa-free laws in the parliament," the head of state emphasized.
