Russia was ready to launch offensive against Kyiv with air forces in February 2014, - Defense Committee head Pashynskyi

Crimea's annexation was only a part of the military operation of Russian Army in Ukraine. In February 2014, Russia was ready to launch an offensive against Kyiv with its air forces.

This was announced by head of the parliamentary defense committee Serhii Pashynskyi during the committee's report, Censor.NET informs citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Annexation of Crimea was not a fragment. There was an entire operation. Border guards were reporting us that, according to their information, a tactic battalion group of 50 tanks and 200 IFVs and armored vehicles were ordered to assault Kyiv with support of air forces; you should understand that [it would have taken them] three or three and a half hours," Pashynskyi said.
