Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Nikolai Asaul has announced, Censor.NET reports citing TASS.
"We have completely restored transit from Europe and from the territory of Ukraine. The issue of entry of new trucks to Ukraine remains unresolved. Accordingly, we restrict entry to the territory of Russia for the Ukrainian hauliers. We expect that this restriction will be lifted tomorrow," he said.
The deputy minister also said that the cargo transportation had been fully restored on the border between Russia and Ukraine.
"The movement of Russian cargo transport through the territory of Ukraine has been fully restored. All trucks have been released. The Russian trucks heading from Europe to Ukraine and then to Russia are free to cross the border. Hence, we see no obstacles made for the Russian trucks returning from Europe and Ukraine," Asaul said.
According to the deputy minister, Russia appealed to Ukraine with an offer to revive freight traffic expecting the issue to be settled in the near future.
