Coalition ruptures as Samopomich faction quits

Verkhovna Rada speaker Volodymyr Hroisman has officially announced the withdrawal of Samopomich faction from the coalition.

This was stated immediately after a parliamentary session opened this morning, Censor.NET informs citing Ukrainska Pravda.

This means that coalition has formally ceased to exist.

"According to the submitted statement, I announce the termination of Samopomich faction's participation in European Ukraine coalition of deputy factions and respective recall of the faction members' signatures to the coalition agreement," he said.

"That's a pity, but I think we will continue political consultations and find a right way out of the current situation," Hroisman commented.
