 Situation in ATO area aggravated: 79 cases of shelling yesterday, clashes near Mykolaivka and Novotroitske, - ATO HQ

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area has aggravated significantly. Illegal armed gangs of pro-Russian terrorists increase volume of shelling daily, using more mortars to open fire.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is announced by the ATO press center on Facebook.

According to the HQ, ATO forces' strong points in Zaitseve were shelled from mortars of 120-mm caliber, as well as an SP gun mount.

Artillery fire also covered the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kominternove, Hnutove, Shyrokyne, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, and Maiorsk.

Military clashes of Ukrainian forces with illegal armed gangs' units occurred near Mykolaivka and Novotroitske.

"Our strong holds near Hranitne, Novhorodske, Opytne, Pisky, Avdiivka, and Butivka mine were fired upon from grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. At the Luhansk direction, the enemy was firing at Ukrainian positions in Triokhizbenka and Sokilnyky," the message reads.

The HQ also informed that the total of 79 cases of shelling of the ATO forces' positions were recorded yesterday.
